This Privacy Policy explains how Suda (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, protects, and shares your personal information when you use the Suda mobile application, related websites, and services (collectively, the “Services”).

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using our Services. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

I. What data do we collect?

When you use the Services, we may collect, store, and use the following categories of information:

1. Account Information

When you register for an account or log in to Suda, we may collect information you provide to us, including: mobile phone number; verification code information used for login authentication; date of birth; gender; profile information you choose to provide, such as avatar, nickname, country, personal tags, and biography.

2. Device and Network Information

To ensure the normal operation, security, and performance of the Services, we may collect device and network-related information, including: device model; device serial number; operating system version; software version number; device identifiers, such as IDFV and, where applicable and permitted by law, IDFA; login IP address; clipboard information(We may access clipboard content only in limited circumstances, such as when you actively use a paste, invitation code recognition, link recognition, or similar function. Clipboard data is used only for the specific function requested by you and will not be persistently stored unless necessary to complete that function or otherwise permitted by applicable law); device sensor information, such as acceleration sensor, magnetic field sensor, and gyroscope sensor; network access method, type, and status; network quality data; operation logs; service logs; hardware address information such as MAC address; storage-related permission status; WLAN access point information, including SSID and BSSID; Bluetooth-related information and Bluetooth address.

We process the above information only where there is an applicable legal basis, including where necessary to provide the Services, to ensure security and fraud prevention, to comply with legal obligations, or, where required by applicable law, based on your consent.

3. User-Generated Content

When you use content publishing and interaction features, including private messaging, posting moments, uploading background images, and other text/image-based features, we may collect and store content you upload or submit, including: photos; images; audio content; text content; profile background images; messages you send through private chat.

We store such content as necessary to provide the Services and will delete it according to your actions or applicable retention requirements.

Where you voluntarily upload, submit, or publish such content, you acknowledge that such processing is necessary for us to provide the relevant feature you choose to use. If you do not provide such content, you may be unable to use the corresponding feature, but this will generally not affect other core functions of the Services.

  • Preference and Interaction Information

To provide certain homepage and recommendation features, we may collect and process information you actively provide or generate through your interactions with the Services, such as your selected zodiac sign and your interactions with recommended content, including viewing, copying, or using suggested ice-breaking topics.

5. Usage Information

We may collect information about how you use the Services, including: frequency of use; browsing and interaction records within the app; crash data; performance data; general usage data; app source information.

We use such information to maintain service stability, improve product performance, analyze usage trends, and enhance account and transaction security. Where required by applicable law, we will rely on an appropriate legal basis before processing such data.

6. Fraud Prevention and Security Information

To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and other security risks, we may collect and analyze: registration information; device information; network logs; usage frequency; crash data; performance data; transaction and account risk-related indicators.

We generally process such information because it is necessary for service security, fraud prevention, abuse detection, and the protection of our users and platform.

7. Payment and Transaction Information

If paid services or purchases are made available through the Services, we may collect payment-related information necessary to complete the transaction, such as transaction status and order records. We do not state here that we independently collect full bank card information unless actually applicable through the relevant payment provider.

8. Photo Saving and Download Information

When you choose to download or save images in certain scenarios, such as in moments or private messages, we may access storage or photo album permissions to allow the image to be saved to your device. Such access will occur only after you authorize the relevant permission through your device system.

9. Microphone and Camera Related Data

When you use features requiring the camera or microphone, such as private message interactions or media capture, we may access: camera permission; microphone permission.

These permissions are only used to enable the relevant feature and are not enabled by default. We will request your authorization before accessing such permissions. If you deny or withdraw authorization, the corresponding feature may be unavailable, but other unrelated functions of the Services will generally remain unaffected.

10. Other Information You Voluntarily Provide

You may choose to provide other information when communicating with us, submitting feedback, or using additional features.Where the provision of such information is optional, your refusal to provide it will generally not affect your use of the core Services.

II. How do we collect your data?

We collect data in the following ways:

1. Information you directly provide

You directly provide us with personal information when you: register an account using your mobile phone number; verify your identity by SMS verification code; complete or update your profile; upload an avatar, background image, or other content; send private messages; post images or text; submit complaints, feedback, or support requests; request account deletion; select your zodiac sign; interact with homepage recommendation content; copy suggested ice-breaking topics.

2. Information collected automatically

When you use the Services, we may automatically collect certain information from your device or browser environment, including device, usage, network, and log information described above.

3. Information collected by third-party SDKs

Some information may be collected directly by third-party SDKs integrated into the Services for analytics, crash reporting, authentication, fraud prevention, media capabilities, and other service support functions. Please refer to Section IX below for details.

III. How will we use your data?

We collect and use your personal information for the following purposes: to ensure the normal operation of the application and Services; to provide registration, login, identity verification, and account management functions; to help users complete profile setup and maintain account information; to provide content publishing, private messaging, image uploading, voice message recording and sending, and related interaction features; to allow users to save or download images where such functionality is available; to provide personalized content recommendations; to conduct user authentication and account retrieval; to improve customer support and user experience; to troubleshoot technical issues, monitor performance, and fix crashes; to perform research, analysis, and service optimization; to protect the security of users, accounts, and the Services; to identify, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security incidents; to comply with applicable laws and regulations; to provide homepage features such as zodiac-based personalization, daily social luck displays, matching zodiac suggestions, and recommended ice-breaking topics.

We may also process user-generated content where necessary for content governance, platform safety, and legal compliance.

Legal basis for processing

We process your personal information only where we have a valid legal basis under applicable law. Depending on the circumstances, such legal basis may include:

  • performance of a contract with you or taking steps at your request before entering into such contract, such as account registration, login, identity verification, content publishing, private messaging, and other core service functions;
  • our legitimate interests, such as ensuring service security, preventing fraud and abuse, troubleshooting, improving service quality, and protecting our users and platform, provided that such interests are not overridden by your rights and interests under applicable law;
  • compliance with legal obligations; and/or
  • your consent or authorization, where required by applicable law or where the relevant feature is optional, including certain device permissions, camera, microphone, photo library access, clipboard access in specific scenarios, and tracking-related identifiers where applicable.

Consent and withdrawal

Where processing is based on your consent or authorization, we will request such consent or authorization in advance through the relevant interface, device permission prompt, or other appropriate means. You may refuse to provide or may later withdraw such consent or authorization through device settings, in-app settings, or by contacting us. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before such withdrawal.

Personalized content recommendations

to provide personalized content recommendations based on factors such as your selected language, country or region, basic interaction records, and other relevant usage information;

to provide homepage recommendation content based on your selected zodiac sign and related in-app interactions;

where required by applicable law, or where such recommendation relies on data processing that requires consent, we will obtain your consent in advance or provide you with applicable controls, including the ability to manage or object to such processing where required by law.

Sharing of personal information

We may share personal information in the following circumstances:

1. Service Providers

We may engage third-party service providers to perform services on our behalf, such as: analytics; crash reporting; message delivery; user authentication; anti-fraud and risk control; media or image selection features.

These service providers are required to process personal information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

2. Legal and Regulatory Disclosure

We may disclose your information to law enforcement authorities, regulators, courts, or other public authorities where required by law, regulation, legal process, or where necessary to protect our rights, users, or the public interest.

3. Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, financing, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable confidentiality and legal safeguards.

We store your personal information in Singapore. We adopt reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, misuse, or destruction.

These measures may include: access control mechanisms; internal authorization management; secure storage and transmission measures; risk monitoring; technical troubleshooting and security auditing.

Please note that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. Although we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If a personal information security incident occurs, we will take action in accordance with applicable law, including, where required, notifying you of: the basic circumstances of the incident; possible impacts; measures taken or to be taken; suggestions for you to reduce risks; relevant remedial measures.

Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the purpose of processing, the applicable legal requirements, and operational necessity.

When our products or services are discontinued, we will notify you through reasonable means, such as notices or announcements, and will delete or anonymize your personal information within 90 days, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

V. How does the Services use device permissions?

To provide certain features, the Services may request access to device permissions. These permissions are not enabled by default and will only be activated after your explicit authorization. You may also withdraw your authorization through your device settings.

For the iOS version of Suda, the permissions that may be requested include:

1. NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription

Function: write to photo library/storage.

Purpose: to write, download, save, cache, modify, or delete pictures and videos, such as when saving images.

2. NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription

Function: read contents of the photo library.

Purpose: to allow users to select images or videos for uploading avatars, background images, private messages, or posts.

3. NSUserTrackingUsageDescription

Function: obtain device identifier information.

Purpose: to obtain tracking-related device identifier information only where such access is actually enabled in the product and only where permitted by applicable law and platform requirements. If such permission is requested, it will be used only for the limited purposes disclosed to you at the time of authorization, such as security, attribution, or related service optimization, and only after your prior authorization where required.

4. NSMicrophoneUsageDescription

Function: use the microphone.

Purpose: to record and send voice messages when you choose to use voice messaging features. The microphone will not be activated without your knowledge.

5. NSCameraUsageDescription

Function: use the camera.

Purpose: to help users take photos, upload avatars, and publish content. The camera will not be activated without your knowledge.

In addition, depending on feature use and system capabilities, the Services may invoke permissions or capabilities related to: network access; Wi-Fi status; network status; vibration; Bluetooth access and Bluetooth connection; audio setting changes; device settings reading.

Some of these functions may also be supported by third-party SDKs integrated into the Services.

If you refuse to grant certain permissions, you may be unable to use the related feature, but this will generally not affect your use of other basic functions of the Services.

VI. Marketing

We currently do not provide personalized advertising recommendations.

We may send you service-related notices where necessary for operation, security, or administration of your account.

If in the future we provide marketing communications and you have agreed to receive them, you will have the right to opt out at any time.

VII. What are your data protection rights?

Where account cancellation verification is necessary for security, we may request additional information for identity verification. Such information will only be used for account security verification and handled with appropriate confidentiality measures.

When you use our Services, we may collect certain information automatically through cookies or similar technologies where applicable.

We use cookies and similar technologies for purposes including: keeping you signed in where applicable; understanding how you use the Services; conducting service statistics and performance analysis; improving functionality and user experience.

We do not transmit cookies to third parties for their independent use.

Please note that cookie-based opt-outs may not be effective on mobile applications. You may manage certain permissions and tracking preferences through your device settings.

Where cookies, SDK technologies, or similar identifiers require consent under applicable law, we will seek such consent before activating the relevant processing.

IX. Third-party SDK list

To provide, maintain, and improve the Services, we may integrate third-party SDKs or similar technologies provided by third-party service providers. These third-party SDKs may be used for functions such as account login, identity verification, content upload, image selection, push notifications, analytics, crash reporting, performance monitoring, fraud prevention, security protection, and audio/video service support.

Depending on the relevant function, such third-party SDKs may process certain categories of information, including device information, identifiers, network information, log information, application performance information, and permission-related information such as photo library, microphone, camera, or location information, subject to the specific SDK function you use and the permissions you authorize.

We will assess the necessity of third-party SDKs before integration and, where required by applicable law, provide corresponding notice and obtain your consent or authorization before enabling the relevant processing.

Third-party SDK providers may update their data processing practices from time to time. Please refer to the above link for the latest information.

X. Privacy policy for minors

Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18, or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction (“Minor”).

We do not knowingly collect personal information from Minors or knowingly allow such persons to use our Services. If you are a Minor, please do not send any personal information to us.

If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a Minor without appropriate authorization where required, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as reasonably possible.
